What Options Are There Other Than A Heavy Duty Sack Trolley?

If you or your businesses’ workers need to do a lot of heavy lifting, the chances are that a sack trolley/ sack truck just won’t cut it. Yes, it is possible to get heavy duty sack trolleys, but even these variants are designed for limited loads. If you need to do a lot of transporting of heavy items from one area to the next, you should look into more robust options that are designed specifically for repeated use.

If the items you are going to be moving are a lot heavier than normal (over 1000 pounds) at the same time as having a flat base, consider using a pallet truck instead of a p handle sack truck. What is a pallet truck, I hear you ask? You have probably seen one before but never realised what it was. The base looks similar to the lifting arms of a forklift, with wheels underneath it to give the frame additional support. They are available in two types of models, manual and electric. If you or your workers are going to be constantly lifting all day a manual version may be more practical. These feature pneumatic systems that are activated by a lever on the side, much the same as a stair climbing sack trolley would have. Pump the lever in and out to build up height and press the release lever to drop it back down. Electric models are able to lift bigger items but they can be slower to use as well.

If the truck is just going to see light usage, consider going for a cheaper version since an expensive one is not required if it is only going to see a few loads a day. On the other hand, if the truck will be seeing repeated use a deluxe version – they use reinforced materials that make them especially resilient to heavy loads. These more expensive models tend to have powder coated finishes, much the same as deluxe sack trolleys do.
